Repetition
is key to leaning some of math's basic skills, and having baby remember their times tables in a verbal way will only serve to help them memorize the sound of these tables when spoken.
Say it to yourself. 4x4=16, you say this many times and the outcome of 16 becomes part of the statement.
Memorization, thru sound, thats why these tables are still in use today.
if you listen to it over and over agin, you will be forced to memorize it. Old school thinking?
